Dr. Gabriel Manning, DVM
Dr. Gabriel Manning grew up in central Illinois, the son of a veterinarian father and musician mother. He developed an interest in pursuing a career in medicine at an early age and upon graduating from high school decided to major in Animal Science while attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign – taking a bachelors degree with high honors in 2016.
After graduating, Dr. Manning took a much-needed break from academia and entered the work force as an assistant toxicologist at a pre-clinical drug research organization in Chicago, Illinois. After three years in this role, feeling it was time to finish what was started he returned to school – taking a doctorate in veterinary medicine from his alma mater in 2024.
Dr. Manning’s professional interests include internal and preventative medicines, soft-tissue surgery, and pathology. His outside interests include fly fishing, golfing, Civil War history, bourbon tasting, and spending time with his girlfriend, Dr. Alexa Burton and their two dogs, Sherman and Toby. As a freshly minted veterinarian, Dr. Manning is thrilled to be starting his career with the Springfield team and so are we!
